Bristol Clean Air Zone Exemption

New Users

To apply for an exemption from the zone charge go to the MiPermit CAZ Portal

A MiPermit account will be created when you apply for an exemption.

Existing Users

If you are already a registered MiPermit user login to the MiPermit CAZ portal to apply for an exemption from the zone charge

Exemptions

You can apply for other exemptions by providing the required evidence and your vehicle details. The evidence required for each type of exemption is shown by selecting each exemption type or can be found in the Clean Air Zone terms and conditions.

If you provide an email address you will receive an email acknowledgement of your application. The Council will review all applications within 15 working days and you will receive a further email to tell you the outcome of your application.

If your application is not approved, the Council will tell you why and will offer advice on what you can do next.

If you application is successful your vehicle will be given a digital exemption. You don't need to display anything in the vehicle.

Manage your Exemption Applications and your MiPermit Account

You can login to your MiPermit account, where you can:

  • view your exemption application
  • change your password
  • add other people to your account so that they can manage your exemptions. Any other people that you add when will automatically become members of your account, they can login using their own email address if you added it, using the forgotten password link on the login page to get access and create their own password.
  • view your current exemptions
  • renew your exemption (where available).
  • find contact details

Verification of Information

As described in the Clean Air Zone terms and conditions, the Council may contact you directly to verify any data provided as part of an exemption application.

Apply for resident, visitor or business parking permits

If you have a MiPermit account you can use the same login details to apply for a parking permit. If you are a new user, a MiPermit account will be created when you apply.
