Mill Road Bus Gate Exemption Application

Disabled residents that do not qualify for a Blue Badge and/or Resident's carers

Exemptions are available to those Disabled Residents who do not qualify for a Blue Badge but are in receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Attendance Allowance and who have carers who provide regular transport for them.

A 'Residents carer' for the purposes of this exemption is any person administering care to individuals in their homes in the defined scheme area. Both carer and resident should live in the defined scheme area.

The application should be made by the resident and supported by evidence that they require care or assistance.

Up to a maximum of 2 vehicles can be registered per applicant.

This exemption needs to be renewed annually.

The disabled resident must provide:

• Written confirmation from the Department of Work and Pensions stating the Disabled Resident is in receipt of 'PIP' or DLA Attendance Allowance

• Vehicle registration numbers
