Volunteer Transport

'Volunteer Transport' for the purposes of this exemption is any individuals who provides essential transport to those individuals that need care in their homes. For those providing regular transport for a specific individual, the 'Residents Carers' or 'Blue Badge Holder' exemption could be considered.

Applications can be made by the person providing the service.

This exemption needs to be renewed annually.

The Volunteer Transporter must provide:

• Written evidence from NHS sponsor or the care organisation

• Vehicle registration
