You can submit a Non-Professional Carer Permit Application if you care for a family member or friend and are in receipt of either Carers allowance or Carers Credit. You will need to provide proof of this during the application process.

Once your application is approved you will receive a confirmation email. This will be valid for 6 months. You will then have access to the Non-Professional Carers Permit, which will allow you to park within the marked resident permit bays or parking permit area where you are caring. The permit will last for up to 1 day at any location.

Carer Permits are issued free of charge and you do not need to display anything in your vehicle.
