Traders Permits will be issued if the Council is satisfied that the permit is necessary for the efficient running of a business and the trader has an operational need to park nearby so that a regular delivery service can be maintained. Typically, Traders Permits may be issued to butchers or bakers but not for loading and unloading or for services such as plumbing or building work. Permits will be issued for essential/legitimate operational use by the organisation and enable parking in permit holder bays only.

To make your required purchase, please select the road for which the permit is required. Parking services will review the application and if a road is not suitable for permit holders, the application will be rejected. If you are not sure what the parking restrictions are in the road you have chosen, you can use the West Sussex County Council’s Traffic Regulation Order to look up the road and its restrictions.
