Using Your Car Park Permits

MiPermit employ a fully electronic ticket system. This means that whether it be Cashless Parking, or any other of our services, you do not need to display a paper permit/ticket in your vehicle.

All the details of your Car Park Permit are synchronised with the local authority enforcement officer's hand-held devices so that they can see in real-time that you have a valid permit to park.

If you have purchased a Flexi Stay Permit, you can park all day without having to book a parking session (see list of car parks that are included). However, if you want to use your Flexi Stay in a maximum stay car park, you will need to activate a 2-hour parking session.

If you have purchased a Short Stay Permit permit, you will need to activate a 2-hour parking session.

To activate a 2-hour parking session, you may use one of the following methods:

    • Download the MiPermit app, login and search for location code 861012.
    • Login to your online MiPermit account and use the ‘Pay for Special Parking’ tab.
    • Text PARK 861012 2 hours to 61600 from your mobile phone.
    • Call 0345 505 1155 and enter 861012 from either your mobile or land line number, whichever is registered on your account.

There may be some types of digital permits that are purchased through MiPermit but you will still receive a physical permit to display in the vehicle. These permits are identified as being paper permits when purchasing.
