Community Permits

Community Permits are purchased and administered in the same manner as Business Permit (Car Park) permits, please review the Business Permit (Car Park) section of the How It Works.

 

Doctor Permits

Doctor Permits are purchased and administered in the same manner as Season Tickets. Please review the Season Ticket section of the How It Works.

 

Non-Professional Carer Permits

To obtain Non-Professional Carer Permits, you must first complete a Non-Professional Carer Permit Application. To process this, select Buy Digital Permits and Bookings and select the Non-Professional Carer Permit Application.

Once approved, you will be able to create Non-Professional Carer Permits by selecting Buy Digital Permits and Bookings and selecting the Non-Professional Carer Permit option. Permits will be street and zone specific, you will need to select the zone via the Area Filter option and the street via the Location Filter option. Complete the remaining areas of the purchase screen to create your permit.

Please note: Non-Professional Carer Permit Applications require approval. Permit reviews are undertaken by Cardiff City Council. Should a permit be rejected, you will need to reapply in the same manner as you had done so.

Professional Carer Permits

Professional Carer Permits will allow you to create parking stays at special location codes as and when required. You must first process a Professional Carer Permit Application.

To process this, select Buy Digital Permits and Bookings and select the Professional Carer Permit Application.

Once approved, you will be able to create parking stays using the Pay For Special Parking option on the left hand menu when logged into your account. You will also be able to search the location number listed via the MiPermit app when logged into your account.

Please note: Professional Carer Permit Applications require approval. Permit reviews are undertaken by Cardiff City Council. Should a permit be rejected, you will need to reapply in the same manner as you had done so.

School Staff Permits

To obtain School Staff Permits, select Buy Digital Permits and Bookings and select the School Staff Permits option. You can select the relevant school for your needs by clicking on the Permit Type box and selecting the relevant school. You would also require the Unique School ID reference.

Please note: School Street Permits (For Blue Badge Holders) and School Street Permits (For Carers) require approval. Permit reviews are undertaken by Cardiff City Council.

Should you wish to discuss the reasons for rejection in depth, please contact Cardiff City Council directly.

You can not amend a registration on either of these type of permits, for any new vehicle, you would need to process a new application and cancel the existing permit.

To  cancel your permit during it’s period, you can do so by selecting Manage Digital Permits and clicking on the current permit displayed. You will then be able to select the Cancel Permit option from the permit details displayed. Alternatively, you can contact MiPermit either via email at help@mipermit.com or by telephone on 0345 520 7007, selecting Option 2 .

 

School Street Permits (For Blue Badge Holders) (For Businesses) (For Residents)

School Street Permits (For Blue Badge Holders), (For Businesses) and School Street Permits (For Residents) are applied for in the same manner as School Street Permits (For Carers) and also require approval by Cardiff City Council.

Please Note: You will require a business rates number or council tax number to obtain School Street Permits (For Businesses) and School Street Permits (For Residents) respectively.

Registrations can be amended on these permit types. To make a change, log in to your account and select Manage Digital Permits.

Click on the current permit and the permit details will be displayed below, where you can select Edit Registration. Update as required and click Save Details. This will immediately amend the registration on the permit. For any changes required in advance, please contact MiPermit to schedule a change for a future date.

 

School Street Permits (For Carers)

To obtain School Street Permits (For Carers), select Buy Digital Permits and Bookings and select the relevant option for you.

Process the application as required by selecting the relevant zone using Area Filter and school via Location Filter. 

Please note: School Street Permits (For Carers) require approval. Permit reviews are undertaken by Cardiff City Council.

Should you wish to discuss the reasons for rejection in depth, please contact Cardiff City Council directly.

You can not amend a registration on either of these type of permits, for any new vehicle, you would need to process a new application and contact MiPermit either via email at help@mipermit.com or by telephone on 0345 520 7007, selecting Option 2 to cancel a permit that is no longer required.

 

School Street Resident (Emergency Day Passes)

School Street Resident (Emergency Day Passes) are applied for and activated in the same way as Visitor Permits. Please review the Visitor Permit section of the How It Works.

 

Traffic Access (Resident Annual Permit)

Traffic Access (Resident Annual Permits) are applied for in the same manner as Resident Permits. Please review the Resident Permit section of the How It Works.

You can not amend a registration on either of these type of permits, for any new vehicle, you would need to process a new application and cancel the existing permit.

Traffic Access (Resident Visitor Passes)

Traffic Access (Resident Visitor Passes) are obtained and administered in the same manner as Visitor Permits. Please review the Visitor Permits section of the How It Works.

 

Traffic Access (Delivery Permit)

Traffic Access (Delivery Permits) can only be obtained once a Delivery Permit Account Application has been approved by Cardiff City Council. To process that application, select Buy Digital Permits and Bookings and select Delivery Permit Account Application.

Please note: Delivery Permit Account Applications require approval. Permit reviews are undertaken by Cardiff City Council.

Once approved, you will be able to select Traffic Access (Delivery Permits) from the list of permit options and process accordingly.

Registrations can be amended at any time. To make a change, log in to your account and select Manage Digital Permits.

Contractor Permit (Trade Waiver)

Contractor Permit (Trade Waivers) can be applied for and administered in the same manner as School Street Permits (For Blue Badge Holders). Please review the School Street Permits (For Blue Badge Holders) section of the How It Works.
