Daily Visitor Permits application

You need to have your Daily Visitor Permit application approved before you can purchase the Daily Visitor Permits.

Go to Buy Digital Permits and select Daily Visitor Permits application. Then continue with the application. The application will be reviewed by Hull City Council. If your application is rejected, you need to reapply in the same way.

Purchasing Daily Visitor Permits

Once your Daily Visitor Permits Application has been approved –

• you can buy the Daily Visitor Permits by selecting Buy Digital Permits and then Daily Visitor Permits
• they are divided into bundles of 10 permits
• you can buy no more than 10 Daily Visitor Permits per month

Activating permits

Daily Visitor Permits can be activated up to 14 days in advance via the app, website and phone options. Text activations are instant. Below are ways to activate your permits -

App

Log in to your account in the same way as you would the website. Select the menu button to reveal the permits option. Select this and then activate daily visitor permits.

You need to enter –

• your visitor’s vehicle registration number
• the type of visitors permit to use
• the date and time to activate the permit
• the duration required

Website

Login to your MiPermit portal and select Activate Visitor Permit. Or you can choose Manage Digital Permits and select Daily Visitor Permits.

You need to enter –

• your visitor’s vehicle registration number
• the type of visitor permit to use
• the date and time to activate the permit
• the duration required

Phone

To activate a permit over the phone –

• call 03455 207 007
• select option one

When calling in to park a visitor, you might be asked to wait.

We will need –

• the vehicle registration
• starting time of the stay
• ending time of the stay

Text

You need to have the mobile number that you are using linked to your account. Text VISITOR followed by the registration of the vehicle to 61600. Your daily visitor permits are only valid for one day. This will create a stay for your visitor.

SMS costs to 61600 may vary depending on your network provider. They are at a standard message rate. Contact your provider for more information. A visitor permit will only be active once you have received a text message back confirming that it is active.

Temporary Permits

If you are still waiting on your proof of vehicle ownership document, you can apply for a temporary permit. It is valid for 2 weeks.

You will need to apply for a resident permit when you have all the required proof of documents.
