Purchase Digital Permits
Following the Council’s budget process, there will soon be changes to Newham Council parking permit renewals. These will support the Newham’s air quality action plan to improve air quality and will also make the system simpler and more consistent. This change is expected in late Spring/early Summer 2023, updates will follow on the website.

Free Parking Allocation
If you are a Newham resident permit holder you may be entitled to a monthly 2 hour parking allocation that can be used in any resident parking zone.

Register for Visitor Permit Access
Click here to register for your property’s annual 240 visitor permit allowance. This will enable you to purchase and activate your emissions based visitor permits.

Carers Permits
If you live in a residential parking zone and need home visits from a carer or a number of carers, you can apply for a carer parking permit. Carer permits can be used on different vehicles however the vehicle can only park in the zone shown on your permit.

Disabled Persons Resident Permit
If you have a disabled resident bay assigned to your property and hold a disabled blue badge, you can apply for a disabled resident parking permit.

Residents Permits
If you live in Newham you may be able to apply for a resident parking permit. This permit allows you to park your vehicle in permit holder only bays, and shared use bays within a specified resident parking zone.
Access Restrictions (Browning Road Bridge, Healthy Schools Streets or Low Traffic Neighbourhoods)

Access Permit
If you live or own a business that has restricted access and is enforced by CCTV cameras, you can apply for an access permit. Please note this is only for residents or businesses who have off street parking in the Browning Road Bridge or Healthy Schools Streets areas. Resident and business permit holders will automatically have access granted through their permits.

Blue Badge Access Permit
For individuals in possession of a valid blue badge who require frequent direct access within a healthy school street during the site specific restrictions times or a low Traffic Neighbourhood with Blue Badge Access.

Business Access Permit

If you run a registered business from a commercial address in Newham you may qualify for a business permit. This permit allows you to park in permit holder only bays and shared used bays within any residential and industrial parking zone.

Charity Business Permits
If you are a Newham based charity, you may be able to apply for a permit to use a vehicle for visits across the borough.

Industrial Parking Permit
If you work in an industrial parking zone (IPZ), you may be eligible for an industrial parking permit. An industrial parking permit can be used in any shared use bay in an industrial zone.
Courtesy/Trade Permits

Courtesy Vehicle Permit
If you are a Newham permit holder, you can apply for a courtesy vehicle parking permit if your own vehicle becomes unavailable and you are using a temporary vehicle.

Trade Parking Permit
If you are a resident or business and a tradesperson is carrying out work at your property, you can apply for a trade parking permit which will allow them to park in the resident parking zone in which your property is located.
