Trade Permits (Daily)

Purchasing Permits

These can be purchased by selecting Buy Digital Permits and selecting Trade Permits (Daily). These are divided into bundles of 5 one day permits and should be purchased by the homeowner or tenants.

Please note: Should a permit be rejected, you will need to reapply in the same manner as you had done so. Transactions made are cancelled if a permit is rejected, meaning it will return to your available balance. Timescale for this depends on your bank/card provider.

Should you wish to discuss the reasons for rejection in depth, please contact Leicestershire County Council directly.

Activating Permits

Daily Trade Permits can be activated up to 14 days in advance via the App, Website and Phone options, Text activations are instant. Please see below methods of activation.

App

Log in to your account in the same manner as you would the website. Click the menu button (three stacked horizontal lines) to reveal the permits option, select this and then select activate visitor permits.

You will need to enter your visitor’s vehicle registration number and select the type of visitors permit to use (if you have various types), the date/time to activate the permit, and the duration required.

Website

Login to your MiPermit portal and click Activate Visitor Permit. Alternatively, you can select Manage Digital Permits and select Visitor Permits.

Phone

To activate a permit over the phone, please call 0345 520 7007 and select option 1. When calling in to park a visitor, please allow for waiting time.

We will require the vehicle registration, starting time and ending time of the stay

Text

You will need to have the mobile number that you are using linked to your account. Text VISITOR followed by the registration of the vehicle and the duration required to 61600.

SMS costs to 61600 may vary depending on your network provider. Please contact your provider for more information.

A visitor permit will only be active once you have received a text message back confirming that it is active.

Cancelling A Permit

Should you need to cancel your permit during it’s period, you can do so by selecting Manage Digital Permits and clicking on the current permit displayed. You will then be able to select the Cancel Permit option from the permit details displayed. Alternatively, you can contact MiPermit either via email at help@mipermit.com or by telephone on 0345 520 7007, selecting Option 2.
