Carer’s permits

Carer’s permits are only available within the Worthing Borough Council CPZ.

Residents can apply for a domiciliary carer parking permit if they require home visits from an unregistered carer. This permit enables the carer to park in a permit parking bay near the resident’s home.

Please note:

Domiciliary Carer Permits are chargeable however are free to residents in receipt one of the following (please select higher rate application in your application):

  • Attendance Allowance (higher rate or lower rate where frequent help or constant supervision is required during the day).
  • Receives 8 points or more under the “moving around” activity of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment.
  • Higher rate of the mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance.

These permits are not valid for Healthcare professionals

Purchasing a Carer’s permit

If you have already set up a MiPermit account, log in to your account with your username and password under ‘login now’

If this is your first purchase, select ‘Buy Digital Permits’ enter you house number and post code and select your address, an account will be created during the purchase.

To purchase a carer’s permit, select the following options:

  • Buy Digital Permits
  • Worthing Borough Council or Adur District Council
  • Carer’s Permit
  • Permit type: Zone - or Zone - (Higher rate applicant)

Evidence required

Please upload the following:

  • A letter from the resident’s doctor or care company, on their headed paper, stating that the applicant must receive either 24 hour care or continuous/daily care at their address due to their condition. (We do not expect applicants to pay for evidence and the type of condition or disability does not need to be disclosed.)
  • Proof of residency dated within the last 3 months.

Enter the vehicle registration for the permit

Start date

  • Enter the start date for your permit

Please note renewals can only be purchased up to 30 days in advance of the renewal date

Duration

  • Select 6 months or 12 months

Your selection will show the current permit price and expiry date of the permit

Permit Owner details

  • Enter the owner of the permit
  • Complete the permit owner’s details

Add to Basket – if you wish to buy more permits before making payment

Pay now – to make payment

 

Important

When payment has been made you will receive an email notification to advise the purchase has been made.

You will receive a further email to confirm if the purchase has been approved or rejected.

If the purchase has been approved you will be able to view and manage the permit in the ‘Manage Digital Permits’ section of your account.

If the purchase has been rejected, please check the reason for the rejection in the email and re-apply if necessary. Please note the payment will not be taken if your application has been rejected however this may show as ‘pending’ with your bank/card provider.
